This will enable you to use ActiveX controls and test your web pages with different versions of IE (IE 7-11). Microsoft Edge (Desktop) Silverlight is not available in Microsoft Edge. 'Support for ActiveX has been discontinued in Microsoft Edge, and that includes removing support for Silverlight. Attempts to restart the computer and try to upgrade, install or uninstall Microsoft Silverlight again end in the same results. This issue can occur if an existing installation or uninstall has become corrupt. To automatically uninstall Microsoft Silverlight, click the button in the 'Fix it for me' section.

Silverlight development framework is currently only supported on Internet Explorer 10 and Internet Explorer 11, with support for Internet Explorer 10 ending on January 31, 2020. There is no longer support for Chrome, Firefox, or any browser using the Mac operating system. To see a list of all browsers supported on Silverlight, see system requirements.
